1. Information We Collect

coldnumbers is designed to minimize data collection. We collect:

Automatically Collected: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) and anonymous usage analytics through Google Analytics 4 (GA4). We use cookies for analytics and to remember your theme preference. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; Google uses them only briefly to estimate a general location (city or region).

Voluntarily Provided: If you use the Pool Manager (Group Play), the pool you enter — pool name, member names, any member emails you add, payments, tickets and results — is saved to your coldnumbers account so you can open it on any device; only you can read or change it. A working copy is kept in your browser while you are signed in and removed when you sign out. If you turn on a members' link, anyone who has that link can see a read-only copy of the pool's member names, tickets, results, paid-through dates and rules (not member emails or amounts paid); Stop sharing turns the link off. If you provide an email for the Group Play agreement feature, it is used solely for sending the agreement and is not shared.

Phone alerts: If you turn on phone / browser alerts, we store the push address your browser gives us (a link to its notification service, e.g. Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft), the encryption keys that go with it, your game and jackpot choices, and a one-way hash of your IP address used only to limit sign-ups. It contains no name or email. We use it only to send draw-result and jackpot notifications; tap “Turn off” under the alerts button (or block notifications for this site in your browser) and it is deleted.

We Do NOT Collect: Financial information, lottery ticket numbers, Social Security numbers, payment details, or any sensitive personal data.

2. How We Use Information

Analytics data is used solely to understand site usage patterns and improve the service. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties except as required by law.

3. Cookies

We use cookies for: (a) Google Analytics 4 — to collect anonymous usage statistics (IP-anonymized); (b) Theme preferences — to remember your selected display theme; (c) Advertising — Google AdSense and its partners use cookies to show and measure ads (see section 5); (d) Affiliate tracking — our affiliate partners may place cookies when you click affiliate links. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function properly. Note: if this site serves EU/EEA visitors, a consent management platform (CMP) may be required before GA4 cookies are set.

4. Third-Party Services

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to see how the site is used: which pages are viewed, which buttons and links are clicked (including affiliate links), which tools are run, settings chosen from dropdowns, how far a page is scrolled, and JavaScript errors. Nothing you type is sent to Google — not your numbers, email address or messages. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google signals and ad personalization are turned off for your visit. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google. Data is collected in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Affiliate links to Jackpocket, DraftKings, BetMGM, Kalshi, and other partners are governed by their respective privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

5. Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads on some pages. This is how the site pays for itself. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices. Google may also work with other ad partners; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and US visitors in states with privacy laws can opt out of the sale or sharing of their data through the privacy message shown on the site. We block gambling ads and categories such as “get rich quick”, and we never show ads on the pages that send you to partner sites. We implement reasonable security measures to protect any information collected. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Group Play data stored in your browser's localStorage can be cleared by you at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

coldnumbers is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, please contact us to have it removed.
